Siyur in the Footsteps of Yirmiyahu

In our latest chapter of our continuing Shiurim v’Siyurim Program, we walked last Wednesday in the footsteps of Yirmiyahu Hanavi. After visiting Har Hazeitim - where we looked upon Har Habayit from a different-than-usual vantage point (looking and davening towards the west) - we stopped at the kevarim of Chagai ,Zechariah, and Malachi . Afterward, we traveled to Anatot, the hometown of Yirmiyahu, and on to the entrance of Nachal Prat (Vadi Kelt). Seeing the same geographic area as that was familiar to Yirmiyahu, enabled us to better understand much of the imagery found in Sefer Yirmiyahu.

Our siyur was led by the newest addition to the SFW staff, Mrs. Shani Taragin. Shani, who is known for her superlative teaching of Tanach, is equally successful in teaching in the “wall-less” classroom of the great outdoors of Eretz Yisrael!
