Rabbi Shmuel Wagner at SFW

Rabbi Shmuel Wagner, long-time Sh'alvim board member (and father of Shana Wagner-SFW '11) came to SF to deliver a shiur on the transformative power of brachot. With his unique approach to the chiyuv to make 100 brachot every day and using the Tanach and the Gemara as guides, R' Wagner helped us transform our "regular" brachot... and ourselves in the process!

We thank him for joining us and for inspiring us with his words of Torah!

Rabbi Rothman Delivers Shiur at SFW

We had the zechut to host Rabbi Jeff Rothman, Assistant Principal at the Stella K. Abraham High School for Girls (SKA) to deliver a guest shiur on Wednesday night. SKA students from other seminaries joined us at SFW to hear their teacher and principal give a shiur on the Halachot of Yichud.

We are grateful to Rabbi Rothman for taking time out of his schedule to share words of Torah and Halacha.

Sha'alvim's Rosh Yeshiva, HaRav Yechezkel Yaakovson, shlit"a

At SFW, we are uniquely fortunate to have regular and personal exposure to Torah leaders and Talmidei Chachamim
With more than 2,000 students and 50 years of history, Yeshivat Sha'alvim's Rosh Yeshiva, HaRav Yechezkel Yaakovson, shlit”a is a busy and sought-after posek and teacher. We are fortunate that he spends regular time at SFW giving shiurim and sichot.
This past week, he joined us for a special session of She’eilot u’Teshuvot. The students submitted questions beforehand and the Rosh Yeshiva shared his perspectives on halacha, machashava and personal growth!

Shavua Bogrot (Alumni Week)

We are pleased to host dozens of SFW alumni who have chosen to join us during their winter break to “recharge their batteries” at SFW. Specifically during Shavua Bogrot, under the guidance and coordination of Mrs. Dina Blank, they will be joining us for great learning and for special shiurim and tiyulim designed for them. Their return to SFW and to Israel is an inspiration to our current students too!
