This
past Tuesday, Sha’alvim for Women had the great zechut to host Rav
Hershel Schachter, Rosh Yeshiva at Yeshiva University. We heard an incredible shiur
about the after-effects of Purim on the Jews in galut and the seeds
planted by Esther and Mordechai for the rebuilding of the Beit Hamikdash.
Afterward,
our students had the unique opportunity to ask any and all questions in halacha
and hashkafa that they had. The questions were wide-ranging and thought-provoking
and, with Rav Schachter’s world-renowned memory and breadth of knowledge, we
were treated to clear and profound responses.
