This past Tuesday, we had the zechut to welcome Rav Yammer back to Sha'alvim for Women. Rav Yammer is no stranger to SFW: he was instrumental in founding our school in 2004 and has been a teacher here since then. He is taking this semester off from teaching at SFW. Nonetheless he is more than involved with our students: for example, he hosts our Shana Bet students in his home every week in a unique and unforgettable "Bayit Cham."
On Tuesday, Rav Yammer delivered the Guest Speaker Shiur to our entire student body and he addressed the issue of
Simcha, as expressed in
Sukkot (z'man simchateinu) and our obligation to bring that simcha in Cheshvan.
We look forward to seeing Rav Yammer a lot this semester and to welcoming him back to our faculty in the spring, iy"H
