Shiurim V’Siyurim

Our “Shiurim V’Siyurim” program continued with a shiur by Mrs. Shani Taragin entitled “An Overview of Sefer Yehoshua.” The Siyur portion will take us to a tiyul in and near Mitzpeh Yericho as we will trace the entrance of Yehoshua and B’nei Yisrael into Eretz Yisrael 3,500 years ago!

[This program, known as “Shiurim v’Siyurim,” we take day-long or half-day siyurim preceded by shiurim based on Tanach, Chazal, and/or history to provide a rich background and context to the siyur. For example, before visiting “The Palace City of Melech David” near the Old City of Yerushalayim, we learn about the malchut of David and Shlomo and life in those days through psukim in Nach and sources in Torah Sheb’al Peh. Our “Shiurim and Siyurim” follow Jewish history throughout the year so that, by the time the year is over, we have spanned the entire era of Tanach all the way to modern events!]
