Yom Hashoa - Eyewitnesses to the Shoah

Today we were privileged to hear the very personal stories of two Holocaust survivors. First we heard from Mrs. Adele Judas, grandmother of Chanina Judas (SFW '12). Mrs. Judas was hidden during the war eventually being transported to Switzerland with the help of the French humanitarian organization, the OSE. Mrs. Judas' talk included the story and written works of her husband, also hidden as a child in the war. Put together, we were zocheh and to hear an inspirational story of survival and faith.

We were also privileged to hear the personal story Rebbetzin Wagner. Her daughter, Mrs. Malki Weissberg joined us as well and together they shared with us the fascinating details of Mrs. Wagner’s life growing up in Poland, escaping from a cattle car on the way to Auschwitz, finding her fiancĂ© years after the war and rebuilding a beautiful life in the United States and in Israel.

We were all captivated and inspired by Mrs. Judas' and Rebbetzin Wagner's personal stories.
