Rabbi Greenspan shared his personal, life story, insights into the challenges - and blessings - that he receives every single day, and inspirational messages that touched every single one of us!

Kedma/Stern College Choir Competition

Many of our students have invested dozens of hours preparing for the Choir Competition sponsored by Kedma and Yeshiva University this coming Motzaei Shabbat.

This wonderful event raises thousands of shekalim for tzedakah and our girls have been working hard raising money and singing their hearts out!

They will be competing against many other seminaries, but, in reality, this whole event reminds us that we're all "on the same team."

No matter what happens, they’re already winners!

Rav Goldvicht at SFW

It was a privilege for us to host Rav Meir Goldvicht last week. Rav Goldvicht, Rosh Yeshiva at Yeshiva University, came to Sha’alvim for Women to deliver a shiur about the powerful messages of the Parsha.

Before the shiur, Rav Goldvicht agreed to speak with our outgoing Shana Bet students sharing words of chizuk, guidance and advice!

After the shiur, the Rosh Yeshiva also stayed around SFW after his shiur to offer guidance and answer questions that many of our students had.

YU President Richard Joel Comes to SFW

Yeshiva University President Richard Joel paid a visit to SFW on Sunday to deliver an inspiring sicha on leadership and vision that Hashem requires of us since Matan Torah.

As a nationally renowned leader and gifted speaker, President Joel is uniquely qualified to talk about Jewish leadership and identity. At SFW, he spoke openly and personally about his background and the decision-making process he experienced to assume his position at YU. Prior to his current role, he served as the president and international director of Hillel and, before that, he was an assistant district attorney in New York, Deputy Chief of Appeals in Bronx, NY and an associate dean and professor of law at YU’s Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.

Magen David Adom Blood Drive at SFW

On Tuesday, SFW and Magen David Adom held a Blood Drive for the Malcha community in Yerushalayim. Many, many girls took the time and made the effort to donate blood to MDA's National Blood Services Division responsible for the collection, processing, testing and distribution of blood units and blood products throughout Israel. 90% of all blood collected by MDA in Israel is collected by Mobil Units like the one that came to SFW.

Kol Hakavod to all the SFW girls for donating blood and for organizing this great chessed!
